Description
With one of these it's easy to prepare pipe joins ready for welding. It notches, capes or saddles any pipe or tube up to 50mm in diameter, round or square. Now it will be a joy making your go-kart, roll cage, sculpture, tubular steel chair or whatever you decide!
Your drill press or power drill goes on one end of the spindle and a bi-metal holesaw (not supplied) goes on the other. The sliding spindle runs on brass bushes and has a holding pin (not shown in photo) to keep the hole saw raised while you're clamping your work in the right position. It can be tilted and rotated so even cutting compound angles is easy.
The 10mm thick backing plate keeps the rig very rigid for consistently accurate notches.
