Description

The advantage of a thermocouple type thermometer is the very wide temperature range it can measure. This thermometer is supplied with an open wire bead probe K-type TP01 thermocouple which is the most common type. It accepts standard miniature thermocouple connectors so different probes can be plugged in to suit the application.
 
K-Type Thermocouple Selection
TP01 -50ºC to 250ºC 950mm long open wire bead probe for air application only, not suitable for liquids (supplied)
TP02 -50C to 700C 950mm cable and 80mm stainless probe for air, liquids and semi-solids (sold separately)
TP04 - 50C to 1000C 1000mm cable and 490mm probe for air, liquids and semi solids (sold separately)

PLEASE NOTE - To prevent damage to the display/probe union always hold the thermometer by the probe when inserting or removing from firm substances. The display end of this thermometer should not be subjected to extremes of temperature or the unit will be damaged i.e. you cannot place the whole unit in the freezer to take a reading, it is best to take a measurement from a soft frozen item in the freezer such as ice cream.
