Description

Indexable turning tools are by far the easiest and quickest way to get the job done. When a tip becomes dull or chipped, simply change to a sharp face. Most carbide inserts have at least 2 tips. They also have the advantage of being set to the correct height, no need to buy a quick change tools post or centre it with shims.

The size of the set (e.g. 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, or 16mm) describes the tip height when mounted, so be careful to measure the maximum capacity of your tool holder to ensure the shank will fit. The shank sizes are below e.g. a 100L x 16W x 16H mm has a shank that is 16mm square.

This set has various internal and external tools for internal (boring) and external turning, threading and parting. The gold coloured tips are super hard carbide suitable for stainless steel and softer, the grey tips are YT15 carbide good for mild steel and softer.

The holders include standard ISO inserts and we have replacements available.
